As a singer and MC, Beezher delivers powerful lyrics full of witty innuendo, pretty and gritty language with an overall sassy appeal. Her debut LP is entitled, Sophistysexy, which reached #11 on the KZSU Stanford 90.1 FM radio station A-file list. Her song “Legalize It” was featured on the Coast 2 Coast Mixtape: Indie Top 50 Volume 389.
HIgh School, COLLEGE & Graduate school
Throughout high school and college Beezher performed Spoken-Word. She has a Master's Degree in Ethnomusicology from UCLA, which gave her the engineering experience she needed to produce the entire Sophistysexy album herself with world music elements. In graduate school she performed with BatUCLAda, an Afro-Brazilian percussion student and community group. She has also performed percussion with the group Fogo Na Roupa in the 2011 San Francisco Carnival.
During graduate school, educational grants afforded Beezher experiences in Brazil – three summers from 2007-2009 – to study Reggae Dancehall. Brazil is a beautiful country with some unique and lovely people with a beautiful struggle and a story to tell. She would like to give thanks to artists and people that showed her love, saved her from becoming lost both physically and soulfully, and are very talented and genuine folks.
